I am a freelance writer, playwright and blogger who happens to be deaf. I am based in Leeds, England.
I have been a creative writer since 2011 after completing my BA Music and Arts Management degree with a 2:1.
Regular articles for ‘the world’s most popular deaf blog’ - The Limping Chicken - are written by myself. You can view my articles here.
In my personal blog, you will find many topics close to my heart.
What drives me to write?
I feel compelled to write, as I believe there are many untold stories concerning disability, race and mental health issues. Deafness in particular is a disability that many can’t comprehend.
I have personal experience in all these areas, so I understand how sensitive these topics are.
I currently has connections with Deafinitely Theatre, Peepal Tree Press and West Yorkshire Playhouse. Find out more here.
Why should you hire me?
I want my writing to be a starting point for conversations. For your writing projects I can do this for you also. Especially on the topics close to my heart for that personal touch.
